London 2012 Olympic Toilets vs. Mecca

London, if you haven’t heard, is going to be hosting the 2012 olympics. So naturally, they are thinking about toilets. Muslims believe that they should not face Mecca when using the toilet (as they face Mecca when they pray), so officials have decreed that at least some of the toilets in the Olympic village will not face Mecca.

Hang on a moment. Isn’t it true that unless every single toilet faces the exact same direction, then just by random chance some of them won’t face Mecca? I’ve always kind of imagined that the toilets of something as large as an Olympic village would be numerous enough to face in pretty much every direction by default. To be fair, it’s better safe than sorry.
